Betsy Reeve and Mary Shima formed Reeve Shima in 2001 to devote their efforts exclusively to representation of employers.
 

Our goal is to assist employers in solving their problems by providing sound advice and practical solutions. We assist employers in the following areas:

We represent employers in all phases of workers compensation. We appear regularly before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, and the Superior and Appellate Courts of Washington.



We provide advice to employers during all stages of the employment relationship beginning with hiring, compensation issues, creation of policies and manuals, discipline, leave and return to work problems and termination. When the relationship deteriorates, we defend the employer vigorously.



As a firm, we are proud of our ability to craft creative solutions to workers compensation and employment problems and to tailor those solutions to the specific goals, needs, and budgets of our clients. We believe we are skilled counselors and when necessary litigators.



We concentrate on representing employers in the Northwest. We represent a variety of employers including school districts, hospitals, cities, counties, retail establishments, manufacturers and service industries.
